Its strawberry season! We picked up some delicious fresh produce at Ralphs and had some fun inventing a new recipe that I think you guys are going to love!

Here's what you'll need:

1/2 (about 1/2 a pound) recipe of your favorite pizza dough

1/4 cup olive oil

18 basil leaves, chopped + divided

8-12 ounces brie, sliced

1 1/2 cups strawberries, chopped

3/4 cup blackberries

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Honey Balsamic Glaze

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoons honey

Here's what you do:

Prepare the dough 1-2 hours ahead of time and allow it to come to room temperature before use.

To make the honey balsamic glaze, add the balsamic vinegar and honey to small sauce pan and simmer until they reduce by half. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and set-aside until ready to use.

Add the blackberries to a bowl and add about half of the basil. Very lightly mash the blackberries with a fork.

Generously dust a baking sheet with flour and divide the pizza dough in half and roll each half about ¼ inch thick. If the dough starts to shrink back, let it rest for five minutes and continue rolling. Cut the dough into 12 to 16 squares. Add the olive oil to a small bowl and brush both sides of the pizza rounds with the olive oil and place on the underside of your baking sheet (it cooks much better on the underside)

Bake the dough in the oven for about 5 minutes. Rotate the pizza and bake for another 3 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Top each of the pizzas with slices of brie, but make sure to leave a 1/2 inch boarder around the edges so the brie does not melt all over. Then top with lightly mashed blackberries and the chopped strawberries. Carefully return the pizzas to the oven for another 3minutes, our until the brie has melted and the pizzas are crisp. Top with the remaining fresh basil and drizzle on the honey balsamic glaze.
